Oh Look at That Mommy........

Is Spring here to stay?  It is going to be in the mid to upper 70s for the next few days.  YIPPEEE!!!

Every summer we head north to the Wisconsin State Fair. This was Jenna's first year, mind you these photos are from the Summer of 2008.
She was so excited to see all the baby animals, the sleeping calfs are my favorite.  They were so adorable, I just wanted to take them home with me.
I used a border kit that I received in the swap I hosted on SCS.
I love all the circles on the borders, too fun!
Have a sunny day,
Tracey

SMC Weekly Challenge

Good Morning!
Time for another scrapbooking challenge from Sew Many Cards Layout Design Team.
This week our challenge is Cut It Out.......cut everything by hand.
YIKES!!!!! Deep Breath.......I am a clean and simple layout kinda gal and
really had a hard time with this challenge.
For my challenge I cut my photos and image by hand, but not till I drew cutting lines, lol.
No free style cutting for me, I have to have my lines as a guide.

This week's sponsor is Hydrangea Hippo.
 Here is her blog,
You have to stop by and check it out, you will be amazed!!!
Jennifer sent the DT an awesome sponsor package this month and included was this pre-cut layout with a photo as a guide.
The layout design is called Layout Envy - Celebrate.
Take this kit to a crop and everyone around you will be so envious of your awesome layout and how quickly you put everything together.

Hope you will join us for our challenge this week,
Tracey

TSB Sketch Challenge

It's time for another sketch challenge at The Stamping Boutique.
Our last sketch for March is by Beckly Fleck at PageMaps.  Besure to stop by her website.
I really struggled with the tag sketch this week, I think I did ok with my design.
I am using Audery with a birthday cupcake, she is colored with Copics and Bic Mark-It Alls, and I also added glitter pen to some of the some details on the image.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend,
Tracey

Sweet Lil' Teddy Bear

Don't you just love this image?
She is a part of a clip art collection from Cuddly Buddly Crafts.
You can go here to check out their store.
I fell in love with this on-line store.
This is the first time I have ever created with digital pre-colored clip art and it was so easy.
I printed the image on white cardstock on a color ink jet.
That background designer paper you see...yay.....that's from the clip art package.
Way cool, huh!!!!
I was floored by how wonderful the image and background paper printed, such high quality and the details of the images are incredible.
Besure to take a look at Cuddly Buddly Craft, you wont' be sorry.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today,
Tracey

Dancing in Circles

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
I made this card for Jenna's 5th Birthday on March 30.
She is taking ballet this year and has a favorite teddy that is dressed up in a tutu, so I know she is going to love this card.
The card is made using all scraps, including the small piece of ribbon I found in my stash.
The image is colored with Copics and Bic Mark-It Alls, I think this is an older SU! image, it is from my stash and added a little bling to the flower punches.
Have a great day,
Tracey

My Sweet Lil' Boy

TGIF!!!
This week has been soooo long.
The weather in Northen Illinois is just beautiful, upper 60's and lots of sunshine.
I have a case of Spring Fever and can't wait to get outside and soak up the sun.

A few months back my dear blogging friend, Jenny sent me some Whiff of Joy images. Thanks Jenny!!!
I colored this handsome, young man right away, but, he got  'lost' for awhile on my crafting table.
I found him a  few weeks ago and I made this non-traditional Christmas card.
He reminds me of my son, Jon.  He is 17 and still loves to decorate the Christmas trees.
TGIF!

Blossom!

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!
Time for The Stamping Boutique's weekly scrapbooking challenge,
hope you are ready to be inspired and play along.
This week we are featuring another fabulous sketch from Becky Fleck.
I fell in love with the sketch! You can check out Becky's website, HERE.
I am using Swinging Cynthia this week, she reminds me so much of Jenna.
The background floral paper is vellum over a piece of white cardstock.  I don't use vellum very much, but I really like the way this turned out.  Give a Woot Woot.....all of these beautiful supplies are from my stash.
I always amaze myself with what I will find.
Close up of  Swinging Cynthia.
Happy Thursday,
Tracey

Mumford and His Pie

Good Morning!
I have not been at my crafting table for over a week.  I am having a serious case of withdrawl.
I  came down with strep throat on Thursday, YUCK!!!!
I spent 2 full days in bed sleepin'.  But I did catch up on about a months worth of DVR'd TV.

I made this litte card several weeks ago.
This is Mumford from Two Scoops Rice Designs, he was a freebie back in the fall.
The card measures 4 x 4, added Stickles the the pie and some ribbon from my stash
The image is colored with Copics and Bic Mark-It Alls.
Happy Tuesday,
Tracey

Happy Feet.....Happy Healing

I used a card kit last week to create all three of these cards from one kit!!!!
I have so many cards kits, I don't think I will ever get them all done.
I only had to add the black, pink and white cardstock to make all three of these cards!
I love cards kits, all the elements to create cards are at
your fingertips, makes creating in a pinch super easy.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit,
Tracey

Teddy Stampers - UK Mother's Day Challenge

Today Teddy Stampers is celebrating Mothering Sunday (Mother's Day in the UK).
Our challenge is to create a card or project for this day.
I used one of Ildi Co. Cuddles Kuma digi images.
To play along go, here.
Here is a little history about Mothering Sunday in the UK.....

Mothering Sunday was also known as 'Refreshment Sunday', Pudding Pie Sunday (in Surrey, England) or 'Mid-Lent Sunday'. It was a day in Lent when the fasting rules were relaxed, in honour of the 'Feeding of the Five Thousand', a story in the Christian Bible. The more usual name was Mothering Sunday. No one is absolutely certain exactly how the name of Mothering Sunday began. However, one theory is that the celebration could have been adopted from a Roman spring festival celebrating Cybele, their Mother Goddess. As Christianity spread, this date was adopted by Christians. The epistle in the Book of Common Prayer for this Sunday refers to the heavenly Jerusalem as "the Mother of all us all", and this may have prompted the customs we still see today.
It is known on this date, about four hundred years ago, people made a point of visiting their nearest big church (the Mother Church). The church in which each person was baptised. Cathedrals are the 'mother church' of all other churches in an area ('diocese'). People who visited their mother church would say they had gone "a mothering."
Young British girls and boys 'in service' (maids and servants) were only allowed one day to visit their family each year. This was usually on Mothering Sunday.
Often the housekeeper or cook would allow the maids to bake a cake to take home for their mother. Sometimes a gift of eggs; or flowers from the garden (or hothouse) was allowed.

Give your mum a ring today,
Tracey
