My Gift To You........

Happy Monday!
Well we made it through the holidays.  I love Christmas and always a little happy when all the hustle is over and I can relax.  I plan on spending as much time as possible in my craft area trying to catch up.

Ildi Co., has released so many cute images over the last month, have you seen them....NO!....go here to check it out.
I used my Creative Memories oval cutting system to cut out the image and border, added present eyelets, a holly berry brad, distressed and inked the edges of the image, and added stickles to the image.

I am so happy with the way this card turned out.

Happy Monday,

Let's Have Coffee or Tea!

Good Morning!

Here is what my house is like the day after Christmas.  The gifts have been opened, wrapping paper on the floor, the tree is lite, leftovers in the frig, a sink full of dishes.......!!!!
Just grab yourself a Christmas cookie, a cup of coffee or tea (in my case) and sit back and relax.

Have a great day!

Enjoy your cup of joe or tea,
Tracey

Ildi Co - Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
Are you ready for the big guy in the red suit?
I am knee deep in ribbon, tissue paper, wrapping paper and bows.
I love finding the perfect gift for my family, the wrapping of those gifts - not so much.

This week's DT post features Ildi Co. new line of digi images, Snopals.

Digi images are so easy to work with, you can print them on just about any paper and resize to fit to your crafting needs.

Snopals Flowers is printed on White Shimmery cardstock from Archiver's, added gold stickles to the flowers and crystal to her bow and the light green on the flower pot. I love this non-traditional color combo.  The designer paper is from a 4x6 package I had hiding in my stash.  It was like Christmas came early, I totally I forgot I had this.....(shhh.....dont't tell my hubby!)

Happy Birthday!

Good Morning!
I recently made an early 2010 New Year's resolution.......to try and complete at least one card kit from my stash each week. I am trying to get a head start, wish me luck.

I made these adorable Birthday cards from a kit that was put together by my dear friend Melanie (mnewby on SCS).

I love the bright orange colors and this image is so cute.

Happy Holidays

Holiday shopping, baking and planning......oh my!!!!

This weekend I will be spending most of my time in the kitchen baking my holiday cookies and treats.   I love baking and the holidays always give me the 'ok' to make and bake way too much, hehehe.

I am really happy with the way this card turned out.  It was created using elements in a card kit.  I used a pop dot on the felt tree and Stickles on the flower in the corner.

Charisma Cardz - Week #50 Anything But Christmas

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
Changito is one of my favorite images, he is so cute and always having fun.
I created both of these cards using a card kit from a SCS swap.
Included in the kit was the 2 6x6 sheets of designer paper, the gold ribbon, the Changito image and 2 black eyelets. I added the cardstock, blue ribbon, bling and punches.

Most of the time I turn to card sketches for inspiration in my creating.  This week I used Card Patterns, Sketch 43 for my layout.

Crafty Critter Challenge #14

Our next challege (go here to check it out) was a bit intimidating when I first read it, but once I got the supplies out it was much easier then I ever imagined.

Here is the challenge:

To use LSC249 from SCS, White Christmas. Here are the details....
*Use only white cardstock
*You cannot use patterned paper, unless it's all white
*Use only white or clear embellishments
*You can use one color of ink, but nothing more
*You cannot do any coloring, such as copic or water coloring

Sounds hard, right.....well not so much.  Give it a try, you will be surprised at how lovely your card is.

I used an embossed cuttlebug background, ribbon, a layered snowflake with a clear bauble, a scalloped rectange punch and the sentiment is stamped in Pallete Ruby Red.

There is still plenty of time to play along with us.

Be Merry,
Tracey

Sunshine Stamps - Happy Holidays

Sunshine Stamps has so many lovely and whimsical  images to offer.  Have you stopped by their store lately, go here to shop.

This card was created using one of the new Christmas images that are now available.

I colored the image with watercolor pencils and blended, doubled matted the image in gold and black cardstock, added Stickles, outlined the image in a glitter gelly pen, used foam squares to make the image 'pop'.
I love the way the ribbon turned out.
I used two different gold shimmery ribbons and twisted the knot for texture.

Season Greetings from me to you,
Tracey

Formal Holiday Cards

Silver, Black and Punches Card Kits

When I first starting working with this card kit I was a little intimated. This is totally out of my craft 'box' and I was not sure what to do with supplies since there are no stamped images, only punches and embossed cardstock.  I am pretty happy with the way they all turned out.

I added the silver ribbon and black bling on the flower punches.

On this card I added the emblished ribbon and bling on the punches.

I added the butterfly ribbon to this card.

Merry Christmas Snowman

The holiday countdown as begun.

I have been working feverishly to complete my holiday cards, I think I am almost done.

This year I decided to use my stash of Christmas card kits to make all my cards.  I thought this would be easier than 'mass' producing a single card, so far so good. I prefer to create non-traditional colored Christmas cards.

I love the layout of this card and sparkly ribbon on the side.

The image was a little big, but I think it works well.

This card was a pile it on challenge for myself and I think I did pretty good...wink....wink!!!

24 Days of Christmas

Good Morning and Happy Sunshine Stamps Tuesday!

We are expecting a big snow storm in the Chicagoland area today and into Wednesday with significant snow fall.  I love living here but really don't like the winters. YUCK!!!

This week Sunshine Stamps is sponsoring day 12 of the 25 Days of Christmas Challenges over at Show and Tell on Ning....go here to check out all the challenges.

Here is the sketch for our Design Team Challenge.

Sunshine Stamps has so many new and very cute Holiday digital images this season.  For my design team card I used Snow Mitten and Warm Mitten Wishes sentiment. You can go here to check out all the holiday season digi images.  I used a lavendar, blue and white color combo, added Stickles to the cuff of the mitten, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, shimmery purple ribbon and blue baubles.  I inked the sentiment in coordinating blue ink. It is hard to see but I outlinged the mitten image with a glitter gelly pen.

Got Cake?!?

Got Cake?!? This little doggie makes me smile everytime I look at him.

This is a card I made from a card kit in my stash.  Card kits are some much fun and make creating cards easy and quick.  Included in the kit was all the elements you see on my card.  The image is colored with my Bic Mark-it, I recently purchased a set of the ultra-fine tip and totally love them.  They make coloring detailed images much easier.

Happy Day To You,
Tracey

My Scrapbooking Supplies.Net DT Debute!!!

Woot Woot!!!!
It's My Scrapbooking Supplies.Net Design Team Debute.

I was so excited when my SCS friend Terria asked me to be apart of this awesome design team.
For the month of December we will be focusing on Christmas projects.
I created this layout using a 5x7 Christmas 2007 photo of my daughter Jenna, double matted the photo in coordinating red and blue card stock, used red and white ribbon, white brads, a 3-D K and Company Christmas sentiment and 3 large felt snowflakes.

The layout is simple, I did not want to distract from the background paper and 5x7 photo.

Besure to check back and she what we are up to next week.

Merry Christmas,
Tracey

Sunshine Stamps - MMSC30

Happy Thursday!  Is it just me or is this week going by extra slow. Oh Friday....were are you?!?

This week Sunshine Stamps is sponsoring Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #30 (MMSC30). The theme this week is Wings and Things or anything that can fly in the air.  I used Martha Stewart's Snowflake Punch for my 'flying' snowflakes.

I am really excited about the way my card turned out this week. I was so wrapped up in working with the sketch and making it all 'work', I totally forgot to include the sentiment....oops!!
I used Christmas designer paper, red and green bling, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch, scalloped rectangles and stickles.

Totally Pink Christmas

I am super excited about the next round of the Secret Sister Card Kit Swap hosted by Colleen on SCS that starts in January 2010.
My wonderful SS sent me a 'bonus' card kit to get the next round started.
She sent a card kit to make all three of these beautiful cards.  I love the non-traditional pink, blue, greeen and cranberry designer paper and the pink ribbon and brads.

Christmas Is.....Family

Happy Sunshine-y Tuesday!

Sunshine Stamps DT challenge this week was to use the provided image and sentiment, but there is a twist......using paper pieceing on your image.  After the panic attack subsided and I focused on the task at hand, I created this 12x12 scrapbook page layout. The wonderful thing with digi images you can make them as big or as small as you need them.  I am very happy with this layout and my over all ability to paper piece.

Summertime Fun Scrapbook Pages

Hi! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

These are pages from the Summer of 2008.  We took a weekend trip to Kenosha, Wisconsin and the beach.  This was Jenna's first trip to the beach and she had a blast.

This page was completed with a scrapbooking page kit I received from a swap on SCS. Included in the kits was both borders, photo mat and the emblishments. There was no swapper name included.

These 2 pages were completed with a 12x12 page kit created by Rhoshoun.

These 2 pages were completed with a kit that was created by BflosStamp.

I created these 2 pages with a border kit that was created by NancyLuvsMickey
