Stamp Something - Halloween Somethings Challenge

Happy Halloween!!!
I am so excited to share with you another Halloween card.
I used  purple cardstock base and scrolled skulls embossed background as the base of the card.  The image, dp, ribbon and brads are 'leftovers' from a Halloween card kit I received in a SCS swap.
The image is colored with watercolor pencils, then blended.  I added orange stickles to the moon.

Happy Haunting,

Thank You Cards A-Plenty

Hi.....wavin' at ya!!

I am in the Divine Secret Siblings group on SCS.  It is a 3 month secret sister swap. The current round is for the months of September, October and November.   My big sis sent me this lovely card kit to make these Thank You cards.  Everything was include in the kit and I just love the color combo and the way each turned out.  I was not too sure about the orange and pink color combo, but once I assembled the cards, I totally L-O-V-E it. The pre-printed sentiments are embossed and slightly raised, adds a very nice touch.

It was so quick and easy to make all four cards.

Completed Layouts With Photos

During the Fall and Spring months my friend Shelly hosts a monthly scrapbooking club.  She is a Stampin' Up consultant and we meet once a month to create four 2-page 12x12 layouts.  The funny thing is, she is not a scrapbooker and she can create the most beautiful layouts for her friends, lol. These layouts have been posted on my blog before, but they are now complete with phots.

I added the word Garden which I received from a LOTW swap.

This is one of my favorite layouts.  Last summer we took a weekend trip to Wisconsin and spent a day at teh beach.  This was Jenna's first time at the beach and she was so excited.  She had sand from her head to her toes by time we left.

Spending a lazy afternoon with my parents camping.

Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble......

Double, double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble
Double, double, toil and trouble
Something wicked this way comes.
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.

Double, double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble
Double, double, toil and trouble
Something wicked this way comes.

Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween!  As I am writing this blog entry, I am thinking about all the different costumes I have worn over the years and smiling the whole time.

One that stands out and is my favorite costume ever, (just remember I was in middle school and thought I was all that).  I was Sandy from Grease, but not the sweet Sandy, oh no I was the bad girl Sandy.   Remember her at the end of the movie, the way she dressed to get the guy.
My mom wrapped my wet hair in bobby pins the night before to make big curls, had a leather jacket, leggings, lots of make-up and mom even let me wear a pair of her spikey high heels.  I was so cool!

This card was made for three different challenges.......

This week's challenge from Janet - The Corrosive Challenge Blog is the create a Halloween card.

Creative Inspirations - Wednesday Blog Challenge also challenged followers to create a Halloween card.

Cupcake Craft Challenge 62 - Things That Go Bump in the Night Halloween Card Challenge

My 'Best Witches' card was made from a card kit I had in my stash. The black cardstock is chalked in purple and green (I know it is hard to see), the sentiment and image are also chalked in purple and green.

Monthly Card Swap - September and October

I have been busy playing catch up on my monthly card swap hosted by mamajacki on SCS.  These cards are for September and October.  Each month a hostess sends out packages with the image and sheets of 4x6 designer paper, create a card and send one to each other person in the group.

I ran out of chocolate chip cards stock while making these cards, so two were made with confetti cardstock.

This little MFT Halloween Bunny is so adorable.

My Family Scrapbook Layouts

Good Morning - Every summer my Aunt from Flordia and my cousin and her husband from Texas visit our family in Illinios. It is the only time of the year we get to spend together and I cherish every moment. During  the summer of 2008 we had the time to take a long weekend trip to Wisconsin together. I have been working on scrapbooking the summer of 2008.  Here are a few more pages.

We took a weekend trip to Wisconsin during the summer of 2008.  This photo was taken during a hike along Lake Michigan in Kenosha Wisconsin.

This is one of my favorite layouts.  We went to Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine.  We were not able to walk up in the lighthouse, but the view was just breath taking from the ground.

Middle: Me and Jon (DS)
Bottom Right: Jenna (DD)

Bee Crafty Downloads - Challenge 15 'A Sketch'

Good Morning!
Where is the sun?!?  It has been raining and raining and raining all week here in Chicagoland and I really miss the sun. On Wednesday nights Chuck bowls in a men's league and this week he decide to take Jenna with and give me the night off.  So after dinner I changed into my comfy pj's and spent a few hours at my craft table.    You R-O-C-K honey!!!!
I recently found this fun blog Bee Crafty Downloads, she has the cutest digi images.
You really need to check them out.
This week's challenge was to create a card, gift tag or any papercraft using this sketch and any digi image.

I used a freebie digi image from Digital Delights - Devil Rider Billy. Is he not the darn tootin' cutest devil you have ever seen!?!

The image is colored with colored pencils and the cardstock and bling are all from my stash.  Once I started to assemble the card I realized that my image was a little too big. But I think it turned out great all the same.

Thanks for looking!!!

Mom's Veggie Garden 2008

I spend most of my crafting time scrapbooking.  This is my first love and find myself always drawn to creating scrapbook pages instead of cards or other paper crafts.  Of course, I am years behind in my endeavors.  I am working on scrapbooking my entire families photo history, LOL!!! Crazy, ya think and I scrapbook just about every picture I take. (What was I thinking!)  I want my family to have photos in ablums to tell our story and just photos in a box or still in the envelopes.

A few weeks ago, I spent a Sunday afternoon scrapbooking with friends and used some awesome border and page kits I have received from many different SCS swaps.

This 2 page 12x12 layout was made with a Four Season Scrapbooking Page Kit Swap I hosted in the Spring, 2009. Each kit included: 3 sheets of coordinating 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of cardstock and designed paper and 3-4 page accents or emblishments.  This kit was created by SCS friend StampinGoodDeeds (Susan). Included in the kit was the 1-8 1/2 x 11 sheet of green check paper, a coordinating sheet of buttercream yelloe cardstock and a lovely sheet of stamped flowers.  I used the stamped sheet of cardstock and green cardstock from my stash  to create the page borders and matted the photos in the buttercream yellow and a the green cardstock from my stash. She includes a varity of page accents, I could not use them all.  I used several daisy flower punches, brads, the stamped bee accents and the quote.  These pictures are of my mom's veggie garden, 2008.

This page was created from another wonderful scrapbooking page kit received in the same swapped I hosted.  Included in the kit was the green and blue patterned paper, the buttercream ribbon and the 3-D floral emblishment. Sorry, I can't thank the swapper for the kit, no SCS name.   These are some additional pictures of my mom's veggie gard (2008).  It was a great year for her garden.  The tomato plants were over 6 feet tall and we would pick pumpkins, and sqash by the arm full.

Creepy Spider Halloween Borders

Fall and Halloween are my favorite time of the year.  I love changing colors of the leaves, cool crisp evening by a campfire, pumpkins and trick or treaters.

I have recently discovered border kit swaps on SCS. These make creating scrapbook pages quick and easy, all the elements for your pages are included.....just add photos.   A border kit usually consists of 2-12x12 borders, journal box, page accents and photo mats.

NoreenAnn recently hosted a Fall/Halloween border swap, she changed the format up a bit and had a group that was for a single 12x12 border kit with included 1-12x12 border, 2-page accents and 1-journal box.

Going A Little Country..........

Good Morning!!  Wowzers, that last few months have just flown by.  I am so excited to share with you some crafting I did over the weekend.

I am in a six month monthly card swap hosted by mamajacki on SCS. It is a six month committment and a different hostess each month.  August was hosted by sgc (Sandye Curry), she sent the blue/yellow/brown stripe designer paper and the western images stamped in brown ink.

Thanks for looking.....
