Happy Birthday Cowboy

2nd Post Today - Please Scroll Down!!!

My blog group, Paper Princesses is having a monthly challenge.  Each month one member of my group will send out a card kit with all the elements to create a paper project.  We will all relieve our projects on our blog that last day of each month.

February is hosted by the beautiful Terria.  She sent out a cowboy theme card kit.  I really struggled with this challenge since it is out of my 'crafting box'.  I am pleased with the way it turned out.  I did add the Happy Birthday Sentiment for an upcoming child's birthday.

Enjoy the day,
Tracey

Pumpkins and Treats

WOW, it's the last day of February.
Just knowing that tomorrow if March 1, means that Spring will be here soon.
 YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!!!

This year I am making a grand effort to use alot of my stash and SCS swaps before I indulge myself with new papers and embellishments.  So far, so good.  I have only had to buy 12 x12 solid colored card stock, which was only $9 at Hobby Lobby for a pack of 100 sheets.  God Deal!

Our pumpkins this year....My sister did the Hello Kitty pumpkin and Jenna drew the face on her pumpkin and Auntie cut it out for her. The title is from a Letter of the Word swap.

Yummy Halloween Treats!
My sister made the cupcakes, they were decorated so cute and very yummy.
Of this is my two favorite lil ghoulies!

Enjoy the day!!!

Not So Scary

Too cute and not so scary!

I'm using another border kit from a SCS swap.  I love them and so sad that I am running out.
The kit includes a border and several page emblishments, these make kit and easy pages.

Jenna is such a nut, she is about 4 years old and was really trying to be so scary in her brother's Halloween mask. She still looks to stinkin' cute and not one bite scary.

Have a super awesome day!

Halloween Smiles

Well, today should be my Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge post BUT I have strep throat and spent the better part of my weekend sleeping and catching up on TV and more sleeping.  If you have never had strep throat as an adult, let me just say you are lucky.
It is horrible, your whole body aches, really aches and you sleep alot.
Then my hubby got it too and oh yay Jenna is sick.  UGH!!! Come on Spring, please hurry.
I am on the mend and feeling much better, really tired still.

You can still play along with our challenge, here.

Here are 2 scrapbook pages from Halloween this year.
Jenna was Princess Leia and my nephew Evan was Yoda.
They were so stinkin' cute!

This is a house in the neighborhood that is decorated to the max every year and Jenna's favorite to visit.
She loves Jack and the Boogie Man.

Have a good day,
Tracey

So Thankful

So Thankful for the little wonders of children.
It's hard to see.....but a few Thanksgiving ago we made handprint turkeys.  Jenna is about 4 years old.
Growing up we always did craft projects on Thanksgiving Day.

I used a border kit that I received in a SCS swap a few years ago.
mmmmm..........she's really thinking.
Have a great day!

Holiday Memories

Christmas traditions are so important to me during the holidays.  We bake sugar cookies, decorate our Christmas trees together and open all our presents on Christmas eve.
The last few years me, Jenna, my sister and brother have gotten together to help my mom decorate her Christmas tree.  We usually do it on Thanksgiving Day before dinner.  It is so much fun to go through all the decorations, they bring back childhood memories and we always laugh and talk.

I used a border set from a SCS swap.  I love the lilac and turquoise color combo so beautiful for Christmas.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sketchy Fun

Ohhhhh......we have another fun challenge this week at Fresh Brewed Designs.
This week's challenge is a sketch challenge.
I used the sketch to create a scrapbook layout using Emma Dancing
My beautiful Jenna is all ready for her ballet recital last Spring.  She was in the Budding Ballerina class and they did a performance to swan Lake.

Here is an close up of Dancing Emma.  She is colored to match Jenna's tutu with lots of sparkle.

You can get all the details of our challenge, here.
Our design team is so incredible and you will find great inspiration from them.

Christmas Memories

TGIF!!! Boy it has been a really long week.  I think it has to be the winter 'blues' and the deep freeze the Chicago area has been in the last few days.  On the bright side, should hit the 30's next week.
 COME ON SPRING!!!!

I have been dipping into my scrapbooking stash and using lots of border kits from previous SCS swaps.
I just love this color combo and would have never thought to use these colors for Christmas pages.

Our club house host a children's holiday part every year.
A few years ago they even had real live reindeer, too cool.

TGIF!!!!!!

Ohhhh So Charming

We are brewing up an oh so charming challenge for you this week at Fresh Brewed Design Challenges.
This week's challenge is to use charms on your craft project.

I am using Buggy Nap Time, a perfect digi for my layout, don't ya think?!?

Doesn't she look peaceful?  I remember this day just like it was yesterday.  She was so tired but she is a big girl and she doesn't have to take baby naps anymore.  LOL, she gave in to the sandman and didn't even have the engery to put down her snack.
My dauthger always makes me smile!!!! She is so loving and has a carefree spirit.

You can find all the challenge details here.

Happy Day!

Our Super Bowl Half Time Show

My daugther Jenna is a little performer.  She loves to dress up and dance anytime she can.  She was so excited to show her dance moves during the Super Bowl Half Time Show.

(Bear with me, I turned the camera the other way, I promise)

Thanks for letting me share my family moments.
Hope Jenna made you smile.

I Love You A Latte.....

Happy Wednesday My Friends!
This week's Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge is 'Anniversary'.
I used Heather's Latte Love and with matching sentiment.  You can find all her digis, here.
Does the designer papers look familiar?  They are leftovers from last week's challenge.  Do you have a scrap box, I sure do.  I need to remember to use it more often.
My wedding anniversary is in May, I'll just have to remember to use this card when the date comes up.
I'm always making cards in advance, then not remembering I did them, lol!
Hugs,
Tracey
