Merry Christmas Snopals!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

For today's Ildi Co. DT post I decided to create an 8x8 scrapbook page layout using  Snopals Present.
I used traditional Christmas Green, Red and White on my layout, added ribbon and a sentiment to create a border.
I think the 2 different sizes of red flowers add a nice touch to the layout.

Happy Holidays,
Tracey

Everytime a Bell Rings.........

Good Morning and Happy Sunshine-y Tuesday!

Our latest Sunshine Stamps DT challenge was to pick one of the the new Christmas sentiments and create a card with the sentiment and the coordinating image.

For my design team card, I chose 'Angels' Wings' and I just love the Christmas tree image that was created to match this image.  The first time I ever watched 'It's a Wonderful Life' was two Christmas' ago, I know (eyes rolling) when have I been,  it is a classic.

I used SCS Sketch - SC237, coordinating Christmas DP, stickles on the tree and presents, red cardstock, green cardstock base and baubles.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Christmas Crackers (Any Christmas Card)
Bee Crafty Challenge 18 - Add Some Sparkle
It is hard to see, but the tree and gifts have sparkle.

Some Assembly Required

Happy Thursday!

Sunshine Stamps has a new line of digi Christmas sentiments, check them out here. When Sunshine issued the DT a challenge to create a card and focus only on the sentiment, I knew exactly which one I would create my card with.  For my DT card I chose the 'Some Assembly Required' sentiment.  This is my mom's favorite saying during the winter months.  She has several winter and Christmas decorations that have this sentiment.  I used blue cardstock base, blue and white snowflake designer paper and wrapped it all up like a present with silver ribbon and created a 'gift' tag with the sentiment.  The edges are inked in blue and added a few baubles at the corner. I added silver stickles to the snowflakes on the image.

Be sure to stop by Sunshine Stamps store, this month's special is buy 2 or more digi images and receive a FREE Christmas image.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day,
Tracey

Post Number 2 for Today, Please Scroll Down!!!

I am so excited about my next Ildi Co. Cuddles card.
This is the first time I used a mono-chromatic color scheme.  I think it turned out pretty darn cute.
The designer paper is a Stampin Up 6x6 pack that I have been hording for a VERY long time, used red cardstock, inked the white cardstock behind the striped DP with Ruby Red and added an over-sized Prima and 'Thank You' sentiment.

Lest We Forget.........

Veteran's Day has come and gone, but we need to remember each and every day the men and women, both past and present, who serve and protect The United States of America each day.

I used Sunshine Stamp's Soldier Bunny (do you see his ears saluting you) and 'Lest We Forget' sentiment for my card.
Image is colored with pencils, used moss green card stock and desginer paper from my stash.
It is a very simple layout, I did not want to take away from the meaning of the card.

Thanks for looking and God Bless,
Tracey

Happy Family Christmas Card

Where did the year run away to?
I can't belive that it is almost time for the snow to start falling.  A perfect time of the year to stay inside curled up with a good book or get caught up on paper crafts. I could do either one and be oh so happy.
I am getting a head start this year on my Christams cards.  I am always running late getting them in the mail, if they make it at all.  I made this adorable penguin card from a kit in my card kit stash that is under my craft table and calls my name everytime I set down.

Stay Warm,

Crafty Critters Challenge #11

I am excited to be hosting the next challenge for our Crafty Critters Blog Group on SCS.
My challenge to the group is:
Create a non-traditional Christmas card using the following elements:

No Red or Green
Use Ribbon and Stickles on your card.

As I was gathering together my Holiday and Winter card kits (that I have been hording for the last year) and I found this beautiful kit from April Lower.
Included in the kit that April sent were the snowflake brads, the designer paper and the sentiment.
She also sent several different stated images, tons of white cardstock and designer paper and a bunch more brads.
This card kit called to me and was perfect to complete this challenge.
Thank you April and ((HUGS))!!!

It is really hard to tell, but I did Stickle the center of each of the little snowflakes on the designer paper with white Stickles.

Thanks for looking and stay warm.

The Corrosive Challenge #36 - No Cards

Please scroll down, this is post number 2.

Good Morning and Happy Monday!!!

Janet over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog posted a challenge I could not resist.  I love to scrapbook and have been working on an album of a mini vacation our family took during the Summer of 2008 to Kenosha, Wisconsin.
If you are ever in the area, you have to stop by the Jelly Belly Factory, it is a fun tour and F-R-E-E.
I created these pages using a SU set I borrowed from a friend, sorry I don't have the name. The ribbon is weaved through the borders, the pink butterflies are cut out to give the pages a 3-D effect.

Happy Scrapping,
Tracey

Ildi Co. Mondays!

Good Morning!

Today's Ildi Co. design is created with Cuddles Kuma Fleur.  I really love this little guy, he makes me smile.

When I sat down to color several images my darling daugther, Jenna was just inchin' to help mama color and make cards.  She started to hand me markers and was very good at coming up with different color combos.   She decided we needed to color one Cuddles pink, to match her own teddy bear. Real men wear pink, right?  I created a birthday card she can give to a friend in her Pre-K class.
I used an embossed Happy Birthday background and scraps to complete the card.

Thanks for looking.  Hugs,
Tracey
