Fun at the Park

Jenna and I love to spend time at the neighborhood parks, she has such a great time.  This is one of our last trips before winter settled in. I remember this day like it was yesterday, she was modeling for the camera. Doesn't she look beautiful?!?
Boy I can't wait for spring and when we can have fun at the park again.  It is so cold and grey here, but we are moving closer to warmer weather and springtime.
YAHOOO!!!

So Fortunate.....

TGIF!
Well ok, House Mouse designs are not my favorite to color BUT I think this lil guy turned out ok.
The supplies are from a card kit that has been collecting dust in my scrap room.  The image was already mounted on the scalloped oval, I only had to add the 'fortunate' sentiment.  I found this in my stash and it matches prefectly.
I have lots of card kits and really need to get going on them. Anyone want a few to help me out, JK!
Have a great weekend,
Tracey

Welcome Little One

Welcome Baby Evan!
I am loving scrapbooking my nephew's newborn pictures, who can't resist beautiful baby pictures.

This is daddy (Mike) and lil' Evan just a few minutes old.  I remember Mike being so nervous with Evan those first few moments.  It was such a blessing to be there to witness baby and daddy getting to know each other for the very first time.

Me and my sister and my mom with lil' baby Evan.

Happy Sunday,
Tracey

Gem of a Challenge

Is it the weekend yet?  Why do 4 day work weeks always seem to creep by so slowly?!?

This week's Glitterbabe's Challenge is being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs.
This week I created a scrapbook layout using Sprinkles on a Cloud.
I added lots of glitter to Sprinkles wings, her crown is accented with gold gems and the cloud is highlighted with more glitter.
This is is my wonderful and cheerful daugther Jenna.
She loves to pose for pictures.  She will tell me she is modeling for me.

Over the weekend I spent sometime organizing my supplies. It got a lil' out of control.  I have way too many and need to use them, this way I can go shopping....hehehe! I found the sentiment, which I jazzed up with some bling.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Tracey

Halloween Fun

Happy Tuesday!!
Hope you are staying warm.
It is grey and gloomy in Chicagoland today.  Had some flurries this morning.

This year I want to really focus on scrapbooking.
1 - I want to get caught up and have all our memories in albums for the family to enjoy.
2 - I have sooooo many fun things in my stash that need to be used.
3 - Once I use up my stash...I can go shopping again.

I want to thank my wonderful friend Moira.
Last year she scrapped over 600 pages!!!!!!
What an awesome thing to accomplish.
Her family will have some many wonderful memories to cherish.
Moria, thanks for the inspiration you are a wonderful friend!!!!

This is Jenna from Halloween 2007.
When I was going thru my pictures it seems I have scrapped 2008 and 2009 but somehow missed 2007.  Go figure!  Well, I'm almost done.

I used a border set that I received in a swap on SCS.
I just need to journal, which I will do once I get all these pages in an album.
I will sit down and journal as I assemble to albums.

Hugs,
Tracey

Kindergarten School Picture

Well, today did not start so good........

Was running late this morning, my hands were full with my cell phone, my keys, my lunch and what-not, stepped down into the garage and tripped over a pair of shoes.  Everything goes flyings, keys on the hood of the car, my lunch slid under the car and my cell phone is somewhere in my garage. After a few choice words I gather my things and start to look for my cell phone....can't find it.  So I get Chuck's and call mine, I can hear the faint sound of my ring tone, P!nk's Raise your Glass. After a few trys I figure out the phone has landed in the garbage can....UGH!!!  This should be fun.  I fish it out and it is soaked, great....just F'in great.  Off to work I go.

I get about half way and bam.....traffic is stopped, I creep up Eola. As I sit in traffic my low fuel light goes on....UGH!  Seriously!!!!  I stop to get over priced Naperville gas and contiune on to work.  My 35-40 drive has turned into an 1 hour and 10 minutes.

I have since then taken the battery out of the phone and dried everything off.  It is a slider phone, let's just say it's not sliding all that great and buttons are sticking.  I am hoping for the best!

Oh yes, my knee is very swollen and my shin is bruised.  I took some Advil, hope it gets better.

On to my scrapbook page.........Jenna's so cute Kindergarten picture 2010-2011. I am just excited to share with you a current photo that I scrapped.  It seems that most have been several years old lately.

Happy Thursday....

FBD Challenge - Black, White and Red

Today is my wonderful hubby's birthday....Happy Birthday honey!!!!

My days are just flying by, this only means that we are getting that much closer to warmer weather and summer.  I prefer the warmer weather and don't like snow, cold, snow and cold.....ya ya ya...I know I live in Chicagoland right?!?!  I still can complain just a lil bit.

This week's Fresh Brewed Design Challenge is to use white, black plus one other color.
I am using Snowman flag from the Snowbuddies collection.
This design is very clean and simple, but I like it.

We are having a blog hop on Jan 19th that will include a new Valentine themed image release!!! Be sure to come back on Wednesday, January 19 for see what is new.

Happy Day To You,
Tracey

How Time Flies!

Time just goes by way too fast.

During the Christmas break I worked on cleaning up some
unfinished and miscellaneous craft projects and found this photo.

This is Jenna's first birthday photo. She is just so beautiful!!!

I found the dress for $2.00 at a garage sale during the first summer she was born.  It was a custom made flower girl dress and the bottom tulle was slightly torn.....ok duh still $2.00!!!  What were they thinking?!?!  Being the frugal shopper and expect garage sale shopper I knew that I had to have it.
I still have the dress 5 years later.

All the elements on the page are from a scrapbooking kit that I had in my stash.

Have a fab day,
Tracey
