SMC Layout Challenge #2 - 8 Punches

Happy Saturday and time for another SMC Layout Challenge......

I created a circle punch border using my Creative Memories Circle Cutting system and added a layered flower accent.  The photo boxes will fit a 4x4 photo.

Teddy Stampers Challenge 3 - Dry Embossing

It's time for another Teddy Stampers Challenge. 

Our challenge for you is to create a card or project using dry embossing and any teddy bear image.

I used  Ildi Co. Cuddles Kuma Shepard digi image.

 The background is embossed using Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder, inked the edges of the pink oval in brown and added felt flowers and ribbon.

Summer Scrapbooking Borders

My wonderful friend and Crafty Critter blog buddie Melanie is hosting a Title Border Swap on SCS.

Here are the deets....

*Create 2, 12x2 (minimum size) borders. One must have the title on it that you sign up for. (I signed up in the Four Seasons group.) Your borders must be created with cardstock and have atleast 1 embelishment.

*Create 2 accent pieces that are a minimum of 3x3 in size. Please use atleast 1 embelishement and base with card stock.

I used my Alphalicous and Walk in my Garden Cricut carts to create my borders. This is the first time I used this stamp and LOVE IT!!! I think it will add a nice touch to any summer scrapbook layout.

Ildi Co - Challenge

Card Kit Week #4

YIPPEEE!!

I can't begin to tell you how super excited I am to be on track using my card kits. I case you missed it, one of my New Year's Resolutions was to use atleast one card kit every week.

I received this card kit already pre-cut, just assemble from a Stampin' Up friend in the Spring of 2009. 
(See why I made this commitment.)

My mom is going to love this card for Mother's Day.

Cricut Border Set

I recently participated in a Cricut border swap on SCS held by jknorp.

I created a Halloween border set, which includes a large pumpkin and spiders set with my Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge .  The star was created using the George Basic Shape and Font cartridge.

Each swapper needed to create a scrapbook page border kit using the following guideline:
1. Create 2, 12x12, 2" borders. These can be vertical or horizontal. Please use cardstock as your base and make them two layered.

2. Create at least 2 pieces of page candy (more if you desire). This can be any type of accent piece you desire that is specific to your theme.
3. Include 2, 4 1/2x5 photo box (this should be double layered).
4. Include 1 journal box (this should be double layered).

Monthly SCS Challenge Cards

I am in a fun monthly challenge group over on SCS, check it out here.

Every month the hostess sends out a card challenge, included in the 'kit' are the hostesses choice of elements to create a card.

This was our December challenge. 

Included were all the elements with the expection of the cardstock base and both scalloped punches.

I outlined here spikey hair with a glitter pen and colored the images with Bic Mark-It Alls.

Today is a school holiday, I have the day off and will spend it  in my comfy pjs crafting the day away.

Ildi Co. has some adorable digi images.  Digital images are very user friendly, you can resize the image and print it has many times as your little heart desires.

Card Kit Week #3

Happy Sunday!

I am so excited to be using some great card kits that I received in swaps on SCS.

I added the scalloped circles, used pop dots for a 3-D effect and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in chocolate brown.

This is a perfect addition to my masculine birthday card stash.

SMC Layout Design Team First Challenge 2010!!!!

Sew Many Cards is getting bigger and better everyday!

Welcome to the newest addition to the SMC Family: SMC's Layout Challenges! 

I am so excited to be apart of this awesome team of talented scrapbookers.

Every other Saturday, will off new a new SMC Layout Challenge! All you need to do is follow the guidelines of the challenge and use an SMC Image. You will have until the following Thursday by 11:59pm EST to submit your creation. Just leave a comment with a direct link to your creation!

If you do not have an image, no worries! Sign up for the newsletter HERE and every Friday you will get an image right in your mail box along with all of SMC's latest happenings!

Our first challenge is to create a layout using a SMC image and journal around a photo box. The photo box can be a created with one or more photos.  I recently celebrated my bithday with friends at a local restaurant.  I used Miki New Years digi image and added a prima to his hat.  He is colored with Bic Mark-It Alls and added a ribbon border and 3-D cupcake emblishments.

Winter Cricut Scrapbook Layout

Happy Winter Friday!!!!!

It is finally above freezing in Chicagoland. YEAH!!! 

We live for these days in the Mid-west, but know that it will only get cold again very soon.

I was a very good girl this year and received several new Cricut cartridges from Santa.

I used Everyday Paperdolls and Alphalicious to create this winter layout.

1-2-3 Teddy Stampers Challenge

Wow, time is just flying by. It's already time for Teddy Stampers second challenge.

Our next challenge is 1 - 2 - 3.......1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers, and 3 brads.

Challenge Rules:

A new Teddy Stampers challenge will be posted every 2nd Friday at 9.00am GMT. The deadline for entries is midnight on the Thursday before the next challenge is due. Therefore, you have 13 days to create your challenge entry. Your creation must include at least one stamped or digi Teddy Bear image. My Lil' Star of the Week

This week Jenna is Star of the Week at her pre-school. 

She so excited to be sharing some of her favorite things with her friends.  We made this poster board together with all of her favorite things.

Her favorite show is Sponge Bob Squarepants, she loves ballet and dress up, she wants to be an animal doctor and a fairy princess when she grows up (a girl can dream, right), the yellow drawing is Gramma's house, this is her favorite place to visit. We also included family photos, her pets and a picture of our house.

These gals are not just fellow crafters, they are also my friends.  This year each one of us came up with crafting and personal New Year's goals for 2010.  It is wonderful to have such a fab bunch of friends to encourage you along the way.

One of my 2010 goals is the complete 200 scrapbook pages. So far this month I have completed 5. 

So far so good!

Last summer we bought Jenna a swing set for our back yard.  Here is a 2 page layout of my hubby and son putting it together with a little help from Jenna.

My Sweet Baby

I am super excited........I will be an Aunt (for the first time) in March 2010.  My little sister is due March 30th (Jenna's birthday). 

This is one of the Whiff of Joy images that my friend Jenny sent me.

I knew from the moment that I saw this image, I had to make a card for Erin. 

I so love the way this card turned out.  I added foam squares to the flower punches and a fuzzy heart brad in the center of each one. The image is colored with Bic Mark-It Alls and a pink Copic (the only one I have, lol).

Sunshine Stamps Tuesday.......BRRRRR It's Cold!

Happy Tuesday! 

I'm finally getting back in my routine after being off for the holidays.  It was nice to be off for a little over a week.  I spent my time  relaxing, crafting and with my wonderful family and friends.

I used an embossed background in black, green scalloped oval and Snow Mitten image. 

I just love the large ribbon.  I think it makes a bold accent on this card.

Howdy Partner!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

The holidays are over and it's back to work for me.  I am starting the year off  with many resolutions and goals and have lots of support from friends and family, so I know I will be successful.

I created this adorable gingerbread farmer using Ildi Co., newer line of holiday images. Be sure to stop by and check out all there super cute digi images.

I used an embossed blue background, created 3-D snowflake establishments and added pop dots to them, the green ribbon and DP from my stash.

Card Kit Week #1

Happy New Year!  Did you make a 2010 New Year's Resolution? 

I did!

My resolution is to use one card kit a week to create some wonderful cards.  I have a paper box full of kits that are stashed under my crafting table.

Teddy Stampers First Challenge of 2010

Welcome to Teddy Stampers first challenge.
2010...a new year, a new challenge!!!

Our very first challenge for you is a New Beginning....new baby, new job, new home, etc.
